EVALUATION

Hello everyone!

Now that you've made all the expositions in class, we ask you to participate in the Evaluation process. It is a very important step in the learning, it is the time to be objective and make your commentary on your classmates' projects.

We have divided the Evaluation in four parts: TEXT, PRESENTATION, COMMENTS and FINAL MARK.

  1. TEXT:
  • a) There is too much writing
  • b) There is the right quantity of information.
  • c) I don't see any important information.
2. PRESENTATION
  • It is very visual and clear.
  • It's OK.
  • It is very dense. It doesn't catch my attention.
3. COMMENTS: Write some comments (Example: it has got fantastic images; the exposition is boring; etc)
4. FINAL MARK: When you write the number (1-10), please make it accord with the points 1,2 and 3.

Still trying...

Dear students,

We are trying to upload your Ppt's on the blog, but it is impossible. We are very sorry for this.

The other Ppt's have arrived

Dear pupils,

We have already received all the files. Thank you very much!

In class, each group will make an oral exposition of their city, using the Ppt presentation as a support.
We will discover Belfast, Bristol, Edimburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester, Nottingham and Oxford!
It is a lot! Good job!

Thank you boys and girls for the great work!

Soon we will post the Evaluation document.
See you in class!

The first Powerpoint (Ppt) is here!

We have received the first Ppt: Belfast.
Thank you Judit, Laia and Jordi.

We hope you can watch the ppt presentations soon on the blog.

Come on, boys and girls!

Example of a British City

Hi guys!
Here you can see a clear example of a British city: London!
We, the English Teachers, completed the questionnaire and then wrote this text about London.
See? it's easy!

Remember, you can use all kinds of resources to find the information: Google, Wikipedia, Encyclopaedia, books, etc. You can also ask your family or neighbours or friends!

LONDON:

London is an enormous city! It is the capital of England, it is an English city.

The Major of London is called Boris Johnson, and the population of the city is 7,556,900 people! That is 5 times the population of Barcelona!

The river Thames crosses the city from West to East.

London is placed on a flat land, and it’s next to the East coast of the Island.

The London Bridge and the London Eye are two important monuments of London.

London's most popular sport is football. They have got 5 teams in the Premier League: Arsenal, Chelsea, Fulham, Tottenham and West Ham.

What information do we need of the city?

Dear students,

Some of you may have thought "What do I look for?" or "What information do we need to prepare?"
Don't worry. The English Teachers have prepared a list of questions that might help you.

After answering the questionnaire, write a text using the information from the answers. Then, when you and your group create the powerpoint of your city, you will only have to copy the text there!

QUESTIONS TO DISCOVER A BRITISH CITY:

• What’s the name of this city?
• Where is it placed?: in England (so, it’s an English city), Scotland (it’s a Scottish city) or Wales (it’s a Welsh city)?
• Who is the Major of the city?
• What’s the population of this city?
• In case that a river crosses the city, what is its name?
• Is this city near the sea/coast? Is it in the mountains? Or on a flat land?
• Write the name of 2 important monuments in this city.
• What’s the most important football team of the city?
